First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a 3-week strength training program, done with or without a special knee brace, can improve muscle function and symptoms in people with moderate knee osteoarthritis. 120 participants aged 55-75 will be randomly assigned to different training and brace groups. The goal is to see if these simple interventions can help control symptoms and improve quality of life.

What this could lead to

If successful, this could point toward a non-surgical, drug-free way to improve knee function and reduce pain in people with knee osteoarthritis.

This is a small, early-stage trial with only 120 participants, and it has not yet started recruiting. The results may not apply to all patients, and the benefits may be modest.
