New 'Smart' brace aims to help kids walk taller

NCT ID NCT01961557

Summary

This study tested a new, adjustable leg brace designed to help children with movement disorders like cerebral palsy walk better. Researchers worked with 24 children to see if different settings on the brace could improve their crouched walking posture. They measured walking patterns, muscle activity, and even brain waves to find the best support for each child.
