Tiny beads vs steroid shots: new battle for knee pain relief

Summary
This study is testing whether a new procedure using tiny, dissolvable beads injected into knee arteries works better than standard steroid injections for reducing arthritis pain. About 89 adults with moderate to severe knee osteoarthritis pain that hasn't improved with other treatments will participate. Researchers will compare how much pain relief each treatment provides over 6 months and track safety for 2 years.
