300 men with klinefelter syndrome to be tracked for decades in landmark study
NCT ID NCT07142135
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study will follow 300 men with Klinefelter syndrome (an extra X chromosome) who are treated at a Danish hospital. Researchers will collect medical records, scans, and blood samples to map how the condition affects growth, hormones, fertility, heart health, and mental well-being over time. The goal is to fill knowledge gaps and improve care for this often-underdiagnosed condition.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this study could lead to better guidelines for treating and monitoring Klinefelter syndrome, improving long-term health and quality of life for affected men.
What could go wrong
This is an observational study, not a treatment trial, so it won't directly test a new therapy. Results may take years and might not change current care quickly.
