First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This study tested whether 3D ultrasound can accurately measure kidney and tumor volumes compared to standard CT or MRI scans. 53 adults with chronic kidney disease or kidney tumors participated. Researchers compared 3D ultrasound measurements to those from contrast-enhanced CT or MRI to see if the simpler, radiation-free method could be a reliable alternative.
