NCT ID NCT07510178

First seen Apr 21, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study compares two common procedures—RIRS (a scope through the urinary tract) and ESWL (shock waves from outside)—to see which removes small kidney stones (up to 1.5 cm) in the lower part of the kidney more completely. About 66 adults aged 18 to 60 with such stones will be randomly assigned to one treatment. The main goal is stone clearance, and the study will also track side effects like infection and blood in urine.
