This trial tests whether a nerve block called the erector spinae plane block can better control pain during extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL), a common procedure to break up kidney stones. Sixty adults with 2-3 cm kidney stones will receive either the nerve block or a standard painkiller (nalbuphine).
