First seen Apr 22, 2026 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looks at whether older adults with prediabetes have slower thinking and less brain energy use compared to those with normal blood sugar. It also tests if a single dose of a ketone supplement can temporarily improve brain function. Twenty participants aged 60-75 will undergo brain scans and cognitive tests. The goal is to understand early brain changes that may lead to dementia.
