Summary

This study tested whether giving ketamine during and after breast cancer surgery helps reduce pain and the need for morphine in recovery. It involved 230 women undergoing mastectomy or lumpectomy. Researchers compared pain levels and morphine use in the first 48 hours after surgery between those who received ketamine and those who did not.
