Heart valve showdown: Less-Invasive procedure vs. open surgery

Summary
This large study aims to find out which of two procedures is better for treating severe aortic regurgitation, a condition where a heart valve leaks. It will compare a newer, less-invasive procedure (TAVR) with traditional open-heart surgery (SAVR) in 1,250 patients aged 65 and older. The main goal is to see which method leads to better survival, fewer strokes, and fewer unplanned hospital returns within the first year.
