First seen Dec 18, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tests whether a single dose of intravenous iron can help elderly patients recover their ability to walk after hip fracture surgery. Researchers will compare iron to a placebo in 210 patients aged 65 and older who have low iron levels after surgery. The goal is to see if iron improves mobility, reduces fatigue, and boosts hemoglobin levels.
