New drug trial aims to halt Skin-Thickening disease

Summary
This study tests if itacitinib is safe and effective for adults with systemic sclerosis, a disease that causes skin thickening and organ damage. About 74 participants will receive the drug or a placebo for a year, and doctors will measure changes in skin thickness. The goal is to control the disease, not cure it, as ongoing management is still needed.
