Summary

This study looks at whether low-risk thyroid cancer patients need radioactive iodine treatment after having their thyroid removed. About 500 patients are being followed to see if skipping this treatment affects cancer recurrence or survival. The goal is to find out if we can safely avoid this therapy and its side effects for people with a low chance of the cancer coming back.
