Iron infusions may boost red blood cells in cancer patients on chemo

Summary

This study tests whether giving iron infusions can improve anemia (low red blood cells) in cancer patients receiving chemotherapy before surgery. About 34 adults with breast, lung, stomach, or urinary cancers will receive iron sucrose infusions. The goal is to raise hemoglobin levels and reduce the need for blood transfusions.
