Iron boost after heart surgery: can it help patients walk farther and feel better?
NCT ID NCT07370688
Summary
This study is testing whether giving iron infusions to older patients with iron deficiency after a minimally invasive heart valve replacement (TAVI) helps them feel better and walk farther. Researchers will compare patients who receive iron infusions to those who receive standard care without iron. The main goals are to see if iron improves quality of life and exercise ability 24 weeks after the procedure.
