First seen Jan 23, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This phase 2 trial tests whether placing tiny chemotherapy-releasing seeds (irinotecan-ChemoSeed) directly into the brain after removing a glioblastoma tumor can help keep the cancer from coming back. About 147 adults with newly diagnosed or recurrent glioblastoma will take part. The seeds are implanted during surgery, and participants also receive standard treatments like radiation and chemotherapy.
