First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a type of talk therapy called Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), delivered in groups by trained non-specialists, can reduce depressive symptoms in young adults aged 18-24 in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Half of the 50 participants will receive the 8-week group therapy, while the other half will be placed on a waiting list. The goal is to see if this approach can make mental health support more accessible.
