Summary
This study looks at a new way to assess pain in intensive care patients who are on breathing machines and cannot speak. It uses a special tool (AlgiScan) and a behavioral checklist to adjust pain medicine more safely. Researchers will compare data from 400 adults to see if the new method reduces opioid use and pain.
