First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looks at whether eating more traditional Inuit foods (like fish and game) and taking part in cultural activities can help reduce depression and anxiety in Inuit adults aged 18-65 in Arviat, Nunavut. About 40 participants will be followed for 12 weeks to see if their mood improves and if the benefits last. The study also explores how elders sharing cultural knowledge may play a role.
