Nose spray could replace needles for Post-Surgery pain in children
NCT ID NCT07479602
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a nose spray containing two drugs, dexmedetomidine and esketamine, can reduce pain after tonsil and adenoid surgery in children aged 3 to 7. About 160 kids will receive either the drug combo or a placebo spray right after anesthesia. Researchers will track pain scores and sleep quality for two days after surgery to see if the spray helps.
