NCT ID NCT04607096

First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether a 4-week intermittent fasting plan can improve how the body releases insulin in people with prediabetes or early type 2 diabetes. Researchers will compare fasting to a regular diet in 200 adults with a BMI between 25 and 40. The goal is to see if this simple eating pattern can help restore insulin secretion and slow disease progression.
