First seen Apr 22, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study compares a new way of organizing hospital care (called an Acute Medical Unit) to usual care for adults with common acute illnesses like infections, falls, or COPD. Researchers want to see if this model reduces the number of days patients spend in the hospital and improves their quality of life. About 220 participants in Singapore will be followed to measure hospital stays, emergency visits, health outcomes, and costs.
