First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at whether high-dose statins can reduce or stabilize fatty plaques in brain arteries that cause strokes. About 100 recent stroke patients will get intensive statin therapy and have their plaques checked with a special MRI. The goal is to see if the plaques shrink or become less dangerous, which could lower the risk of future strokes.
