New study aims to boost social connections for lung cancer survivors

Summary

This study tests a program to help long-term lung cancer survivors feel more socially connected and improve their quality of life. Thirty survivors will be randomly assigned to either the program or a comparison group. The program uses techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy to reduce social anxiety and improve social skills. Participants will use a mobile phone app to track their social interactions and well-being.
