First seen Feb 10, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests a two-step approach for people with advanced or returning colorectal cancer. First, a special drug makes cancer cells glow during surgery, helping surgeons remove more of them. Then, a laser activates the drug to kill any remaining cancer cells. The goal is to improve local tumor control with fewer side effects.
