First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a marker of inflammation called interleukin-6 (IL-6) is linked to thyroid problems in people with chronic kidney disease who are on dialysis. Researchers measured IL-6 and thyroid hormones in blood samples from 65 adults who had been on dialysis for at least 3 months. The goal was to understand the connection, not to test a treatment.
