Summary
This study tested a single injection of disc cells into the spine for people with chronic low back pain from degenerative disc disease. 38 adults with moderate disc damage and long-term pain received either a low or high dose of the cell treatment or a sham injection. The goal was to see if the treatment is safe and can reduce pain and disability over a year.
