Summary
This study looks at why many ICU patients develop severe muscle weakness that can last for months or years. Researchers will use muscle biopsies, ultrasound, and strength tests on 50 critically ill adults to understand the causes. The goal is to better diagnose and track this condition, not to test a new treatment.
