New diabetes pill shows promise for patients stuck on ozempic

Summary

This study tests a new daily pill, icovamenib, for people with type 2 diabetes whose blood sugar is still too high despite taking Ozempic. About 60 adults will receive either the drug or a placebo for 12 weeks to see if it safely improves blood sugar control. The goal is to offer an additional treatment option for those who need more help managing their diabetes.
