First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests whether icosapent ethyl, a purified fish oil medication, can slow the buildup of calcium in the aortic valve of people with mild-to-moderate aortic valve stenosis. About 110 adults over age 50 will take the drug and have their valve calcium levels measured over time. The goal is to see if this treatment can delay the need for valve surgery.
