First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

This study gives questionnaires to patients, interpreters, and healthcare professionals to understand how language and cultural differences impact care for women with gynecologic cancer. The goal is to identify barriers and improve the patient experience. About 45 people will take part at a single cancer center in Toronto.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

What this could lead to
If successful, this study could reveal specific barriers faced by non-English-speaking patients with gynecologic cancer, pointing toward better communication and support strategies.
What could go wrong
This is a small, observational questionnaire study at a single center. It does not test a treatment, so findings may not apply broadly or lead directly to changes in care.
