New drug trial aims to lift the fog of bipolar depression

Summary
This study is testing whether a new drug called Icalcaprant can help control depressive episodes in adults with bipolar I or II disorder. About 195 participants will take either the drug or a placebo pill daily for six weeks, while continuing their current mood stabilizer medication. Researchers will measure changes in depression symptoms and monitor safety to see if the drug is effective and well-tolerated.
