First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study is testing a special MRI scan that uses a substance called hyperpolarized carbon to take clearer pictures of brain tumors (gliomas). The goal is to see if this method is safe and can help doctors find and diagnose these tumors better. About 140 adults with glioma will be scanned, and researchers will check for side effects and compare the images to standard scans.
