One treatment or three? study tests best approach for CO poisoning brain protection

NCT ID NCT06619717

Summary

This study aimed to find out if one session of hyperbaric oxygen therapy works as well as three sessions for adults with acute carbon monoxide poisoning. The goal was to prevent long-term brain problems like memory loss, depression, and difficulty concentrating. Researchers planned to randomly assign patients to receive either one or three treatments and then measure their brain function outcomes, but the trial was terminated after enrolling only two participants.
