NCT ID NCT04177004
First seen Dec 16, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This early-stage trial tests whether drinking milk from goats genetically modified to produce a human enzyme (lysozyme) can help prevent graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) in people with blood cancer receiving a donor stem cell transplant. About 53 participants will drink a daily amount of this special milk during their hospital stay. The main goals are to see if patients can tolerate the milk and to check for side effects.
