NCT ID NCT07156539
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This Phase 3 study tests an experimental drug called HS-20094 against the standard drug dulaglutide, both given as weekly injections. About 546 adults with type 2 diabetes whose blood sugar is not well controlled on metformin or SGLT2 inhibitors will take part. The main goal is to see how well HS-20094 lowers blood sugar (HbA1c) over 44 weeks, along with effects on weight and safety.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
HS-20094 (an experimental injectable drug) and dulaglutide (a standard injectable diabetes drug)
What this could lead to
If successful, HS-20094 could offer a new weekly injection option for controlling blood sugar and weight in people with type 2 diabetes.
What could go wrong
This is a Phase 3 trial, but HS-20094 is still experimental. It may not prove better or safer than existing treatments, and side effects are possible.
