Can a daily supplement help men clear HPV and boost fertility?
NCT ID NCT07320183
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This pilot study tests whether a daily dietary supplement containing EGCG, folic acid, vitamin B12, and hyaluronic acid can help men clear an active HPV infection and improve sperm health. The study involves 34 couples trying to conceive, where the male partner has HPV and the female partner does not. Half of the men will take the supplement for six months, while the other half receive no supplement. Researchers will check if more men in the supplement group test negative for HPV at the end of the study.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
dietary supplement containing EGCG, folic acid, vitamin B12, and hyaluronic acid
What this could lead to
If it works, this supplement could help clear HPV infection in men and improve fertility outcomes for couples trying to conceive.
What could go wrong
This is a very small pilot study (34 couples) with no blinding or placebo control, so results may not be reliable. Supplements are not a proven treatment for HPV.
