Hidden danger: common diseases may make your medications more potent
NCT ID NCT07360938
Summary
This study aims to understand how chronic inflammatory diseases like type 2 diabetes, irritable bowel disease, and kidney failure might change how the body processes medications. Researchers will collect blood samples and health records from 150 patients with these conditions to measure inflammation levels and see if they affect drug breakdown. The goal is to learn whether these diseases increase medication side effects by altering how drugs are processed in the body.
