Teen migraine mystery: do puberty hormones fuel the pain?

NCT ID NCT05738213

First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study explores how sex hormones (like testosterone and estrogen) during puberty relate to migraine pain and sensitivity in adolescents aged 11-15. Researchers will test pain responses and track migraine disability in 100 teens with and without migraines. The goal is to better understand the link between hormones and migraine severity, not to test a new treatment.
