First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at 78 people with severe obesity who had sleeve gastrectomy surgery. Researchers wanted to see if the balance of two hormones, adiponectin and leptin, in the blood could predict how much weight they would lose. The goal is to help doctors decide who will benefit most from surgery and guide others to different treatments.
