First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a specific protein in the blood, called apolipoprotein, can predict how much weight a person loses after sleeve gastrectomy surgery for severe obesity. Researchers will follow 110 patients for 8 months to see if certain protein levels are linked to better weight loss. The goal is to help doctors decide who will benefit most from surgery versus non-surgical options.
