Blood clot study tests home care over hospital stay

NCT ID NCT07506291

First seen Apr 05, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looks at whether people with a blood clot in the lungs (pulmonary embolism) who are not severely ill but have signs of heart strain can be treated safely at home instead of in the hospital. About 568 adults will be randomly assigned to either go home early or stay in the hospital. The goal is to see if home treatment is just as safe and leads to fewer complications within the first week.
