Light and sound headset tested to soothe debilitating nerve pain

NCT ID NCT04280562

Summary

This study tested whether a wearable device that plays specific light and sound patterns could help reduce chronic nerve pain. Seventy-five adults with neuropathic pain used the device at home for 8-14 weeks. Researchers compared the real device to a fake one to see if it improved pain, sleep, and quality of life.
