Zapping the brain at home: can electricity slow Dementia's grip on language?
NCT ID NCT05978804
Summary
This study tested whether a safe, mild electrical brain stimulation device used at home, sometimes paired with computer brain games, could help improve language skills and thinking abilities in people with early dementia or mild cognitive impairment. It involved 36 participants who tried both the stimulation alone and the stimulation with training. The goal was to see if this non-invasive approach could ease symptoms and help people function better.
