NCT ID NCT07426926
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a special LED light bracelet, used at home for 12 minutes a day, can improve recovery after wrist fracture surgery. Forty-two adults will either get the active light device or an inactive one, along with standard exercises. Researchers will check wrist function, pain, and healing over 12 weeks.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
photobiomodulation (LED light) device
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a simple, at-home way to speed up wrist function recovery and reduce pain after surgery.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 42 people. The light therapy may not provide meaningful benefit over standard exercises alone.
