Summary

This study tests a program called MEPS that uses a mobile app, peer mentors, and small rewards to help people recently released from jail get HIV testing, PrEP (a daily pill to prevent HIV), and substance use treatment. About 300 people in California will take part. The goal is to see if the program works better than usual care at increasing HIV prevention and reducing risky behaviors.
