New program aims to break down barriers to HIV care and jobs for formerly incarcerated

NCT ID NCT06477588

Summary

This study is testing two support programs to help people who have been involved with the justice system access HIV care, prevention services like PrEP, and employment. Researchers want to see if adding an employment navigator and small financial incentives to a basic health navigation program leads to better results. The study will enroll 350 adults who are HIV-positive or at risk, need job help, and have recent justice system involvement in specific areas of Illinois and Louisiana.
