First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study follows 400 adults with HIV to learn how nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) progresses in this group. Researchers will use a non-invasive scan to measure liver fat and stiffness at the start and after one year. The goal is to fill major knowledge gaps, since past studies have excluded people with HIV.
