First seen Jan 23, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looks at how much the tensor fascia latae (TFL) muscle is damaged during hip replacement surgery through the front of the hip. Researchers want to see if more damage leads to worse recovery in the first 6 months. 150 adults getting their first hip replacement will be followed. The goal is to understand the link between muscle injury and how well patients can walk and function after surgery.
