First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study examines how much the tensor fascia latae muscle is damaged during hip replacement surgery through the front approach. Researchers will compare the amount of muscle damage to how well patients recover at 6 weeks and 6 months. The goal is to understand if less muscle damage leads to better short-term function. 150 adults having their first hip replacement for arthritis will take part.
