New hip implant under study: will it last 10 years?

Summary
This study is checking how safe and effective a new hip replacement stem (called HYPE) is for people with hip disease. About 180 adults who need a total hip replacement will get the implant and be followed for 10 years. Doctors will use X-rays and questionnaires to see how well the implant stays in place and how much it improves pain and movement.
